Bruce Springsteen & Jon Stewart Banter Good Advise for Startups

posted March 22nd, 2009 @ 09:47 — 2 comments

* Jon Stewart points out that no one really knows what is at the other end of the tunnel but it is something one has to do and enjoy the process. Same is true for startups — it is the journey which is most important, not the rewards that wait at the end.

* Bruce “The Boss” Springsteen is right in saying that we need to have conviction and belief, even when your fans or users are likely to be unhappy with you. I guess Steve Jobs does that quite often. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, apparently feels that way.

I watched the entire clip, and while I found it to be inspiring I might have missed the advice for startups. Can you elaborate?

the bit about going on through the tunnel, enjoying the journey and not getting too pre-occupied by the reward. Jon tells that when he talks about how Bruce influenced his life and his approach to doing things. I think it is something startups forget.
