T-Shirt Shopping This Weekend

posted August 13th, 2006 @ 16:43 — 13 comments

For someone who has dozens of shirts, the idea of shopping for plain T-Shirts was a frightening one. Regardless, since it is California, and since I am working from home a lot, it was time to go out and buy some, just to add another dimension to the wardrobe.

The T-Shirts at Banana Republic and Gap weren’t too exciting, so I ended up at J Crew where I picked up four of their pigment dyed, ultra soft T-Shirts. I have not regretted the decision, because they layer so well under a nice jacket, are comfortable and soft.

A couple of them were in colors to match the new GigaOM look. Kevin Burton is going to approve.

Click to get a better view of your future...And since this casual-sockless makeover continues, I bought my first pair of sneakers as well. Cool kids are wearing Puma’s again, or so tells me. I did not know that Puma had a company store in San Francisco. Guess, that is living inside the technology bubble. The new pair is very comfortable. Next stop – GYM!

I’m more of an Adidas guy than Puma. But you like what you got, so that’s pretty great. Congrats on your first pair of sneakers!

[...] Writer has all the usual bells and whistles, but the one which impressed me the most: easy way to add Maps in your posts. (Sure they are Microsoft Maps, but who cares.) There is some strange CSS stuff that is inserted along with Maps, but not that big a deal. I did some photo drag and drop, and crafted this post for my WordPress.com blog. [...]

I prefer my solid tees and beaters to anything printed, usually. There are a few good Led Zeppelin shirts out there, but I am not going to pay $20 for a shirt with a cheap print on it when I can spend $10 on a three-pack of balck, grey, or white tees or beaters.

You should try to get a 30boxes t-shirt, they’re really nice and soft.

I’ve tried to explain to my friends that a t-shirt doesn’t always have to say something. When I first saw this post, I thought, omg, not another person who ‘has’ to have the funny comment on the shirt. Layered shirts are really in now too. As for shoes, I love Dravens.

I am not connected to them in any way. I just like the one that says “Your PC is a POS”
